Stay at the Red Bird Cabin to relax and enjoy everything Lake Lure has to offer! Conveniently located only one-half mile from the Lake Lure Beach and Waterpark, a unique “beach in the mountains” setting. In the summer, spend your days sunbathing or swimming and let the kids have a blast on the slides in the waterpark. The cabin is a short ride to Chimney Rock State Park, film site of The Last of the Mohicans. Climb the 500 steps (or take the elevator) to the top of Chimney Rock for breathtaking 75-mile views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Don’t miss it in the fall when the color on the trees is truly magnificent.
Following a visit to the park, enjoy Chimney Rock Village, with stores and restaurants perched on the banks of the Rocky Broad River. Visit one of the areas many vineyards, microbreweries and restaurants or you can spend a few hours in one of the other historic towns nearby. If you are craving more action, rent a boat or kayak, take a zip line adventure, hike, or go horseback riding…the options are endless.
